Sunshine Social Ladies Lunch: Connection, Stories & New Friendships

Today’s Sunshine Social Ladies Lunch was a perfect reminder of why community matters so deeply. Around the table, we shared good food, laughter, and the kinds of conversations that turn acquaintances into friends. It wasn’t about networking or agendas — it was about learning who we are, what we love, and the lives that shape us.

Each woman brought something special to the table.

Sil shared about her marriage and the joy of being deeply in love, along with her passion for food and all things delicious.
Ami told us about her chickens and her YouTube channel dedicated to women’s history — a beautiful blend of curiosity, care, and storytelling.
Peggy spoke about the women’s group she leads, her life as an author, and her love for drawing — creativity woven into everything she does.
Erin, a photographer and mom of three girls, shared about her family and her husband’s business, Hearthside Games, and generously invited us all to a future game night together.
Teinemerrie radiated warmth as she talked about her love for family, dancing, connecting people, magic, travel, and experiencing different cultures.
Tracey, originally from Detroit, Michigan, shared her incredible journey — being part of a large family, involvement in the Olympics and World Cup, playing hockey, teaching Pilates, and speaking publicly.
Tracy delighted us with stories about performing card magic, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, and the joy of her lovely grandbaby.
Mary made us all smile talking about her famous cookies and an upcoming cookie-decorating class we can’t wait to attend.
Wendy shared about her three kids and her love for paddle boarding, hiking, and taking on the challenge of triathlons.

What made this lunch so special wasn’t just the food or the conversation — it was the openness, curiosity, and kindness. We talked about passions, family, hobbies, and dreams, and by the end of the meal, new friendships had already begun to form.
