There’s something special about gathering on a cool evening with women who feel like instant friends.

Our Sunshine Soup Social & Sweater Swap was the perfect blend of warmth — in every sense of the word.

Hosted at Sara’s home, members arrived with crockpots full of their favorite soups, from creamy potato to hearty chili to the kind you can smell from the driveway and instantly know it’s going to be good. Everyone brought a recipe card so we could take home not just leftovers, but new meal inspiration to brighten future evenings.

And then came the sweaters.

Soft cardigans, cozy pullovers, bold prints, neutrals, and yes — even that one “ugly sweater from three Christmases ago.” The best part? Watching each sweater find a new home with another Sunshine sister who loved it.

There was laughter, shared stories, and one unforgettable moment when two ladies jokingly tugged on the same sweater because they both loved it — proving that sometimes the best connections begin in the most unexpected ways.

By the end of the night, everyone went home with:

• A delicious container of soup

• A “new-to-you” sweater to snuggle in

• A recipe card to recreate someone else’s comforting favorite
